Farrington High School Phase 2
Honolulu, Hawai'i
$60M
Owner: Hawaii Department of Education
GC: Ralph S. Inouye Co. Ltd.
In May 2025, state and local officials broke ground on a new $60 million facility that will house Farrington High School's updated gymnasium, music rooms, locker rooms, and physical education spaces. The project is part of a larger nine-phase modernization effort aimed at upgrading the campus, which includes buildings dating back to the 1930s.
As one of the largest high schools in the state, Farrington will benefit from the phased approach, which is designed to reduce disruptions to students and staff. The current gym will be replaced by a new cafeteria during phase three of the modernization.
Phase two construction is scheduled for completion in 2027.
