Key Responsibilities
· Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project correspondence.
· Assist with schedule updates, progress tracking, and coordination with the project controls team.
· Support cost tracking, pay application review, and change order documentation.
· Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action item logs.
· Coordinate document control processes and maintain organized project files (electronic and hard copy).
· Support quality assurance efforts and track deficiencies/punch list items.
· Assist with field observations and documentation as needed.
· Facilitate communication between the contractor, design team, owner, and internal staff.
· Help prepare closeout documentation and as-built records.
· Contribute to risk identification and mitigation efforts.
· Provide support on claims documentation and potential dispute matters when required.
· Mentor field staff and assist junior team members as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
· 3–7 years of experience in construction, preferably with a construction management firm, general contractor, or design firm.
· Solid understanding of construction documents, means and methods, and contract administration.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management platforms.
· Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on active construction sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience on federal, state, or municipal projects.
· Familiarity with scheduling software and basic schedule analysis concepts.
· Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or progress toward PE licensure or Certified Construction Management (CCM)
· Prior experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications.
· Knowledge of Hawaii construction practices and local agency requirements.

Pay
Starting salary $90K+ (DOE)
